About our Office

Georgetown’s Office of the University Staff Ombuds was established in 2023. It is the first Georgetown ombuds office to work with constituencies across the entire university system, serving staff and AAP on all campuses.

When staff/AAP visit the Office of the University Staff Ombuds, the University Staff Ombuds will listen as they explain their situation or concern. The University Staff Ombuds listens to understand the visitor’s perspective, reasoning, and goals. Then, together with the visitor, the ombuds will discuss potential options and help the visitor determine next steps.

A  visitor to the University Staff Ombud is always in control of the ombuds process.
