Linda Brothers

Linda brings extensive experience in conflict management, organizational systems analysis, and equitable problem-solving to her role at Georgetown. She has worked with individuals and groups across complex organizations to address workplace concerns through coaching, facilitation, and mediation.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Linda served as a Senior Associate Ombuds at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she was a neutral, confidential resource for administrators, scientists, and staff across lines of hierarchy, culture, and gender. She also previously served as Ombudsperson and Director of Equal Opportunity at Wellesley College, where she established the college’s first ombuds office and co-directed the Multicultural Education Research Initiative.

As an organizational ombuds, Linda specializes in surfacing systemic concerns, supporting fair and informal resolution of workplace issues, and strengthening organizational effectiveness through feedback and process improvement.  She holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from NYU.


Maddie Leonardi, M.D.R., M.P.P.
Office Coordinator and Assistant Ombuds

Maddie Leonardi

Maddie brings a strong foundation in organizational conflict management and workplace dispute resolution to the University Staff Ombuds Office.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Maddie served as an Ombudsman Specialist at the U.S. Department of Energy, where she supported individuals navigating workplace conflicts and developed trainings on a variety of workplace conflict resolution topics. She also brings experience from a higher education ombuds office, having previously worked in the ombuds office at Austin Community College.

Maddie’s professional background also includes managing complex caseloads and providing high-level administrative and data support in dispute resolution settings. She holds a Master of Dispute Resolution and a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University, as well as a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Louis University.
