Growing Our Team: Welcoming Maddie Leonardi to the Office

The Office of the University Staff Ombuds is excited to announce that Maddie Leonardi has joined the Office of the University Staff Ombuds as our new Office Coordinator and Ombuds Assistant. In this role, Maddie will oversee the administrative operations of the office, as well as support ombuds workshops and other program activities.

Maddie Leonardi brings a deep commitment to helping individuals navigate workplace conflicts, along with extensive experience working in organizational ombuds offices. She holds a Master of Dispute Resolution and a Master of Public Policy from Pepperdine University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Saint Louis University.

Prior to joining our office, Maddie served as an Ombudsman Specialist with the U.S. Department of Energy where she worked with visitors to their Office of the Ombudsman, provided administrative support to their to the office, and delivered organization-wide conflict resolution training. She also brings experience in organizational ombuds practice and conflict analysis within the workplace from her work with faculty and staff in the Office of the Ombudsperson at Austin Community College.
